My Tho & Ben Tre Tour

In the morning you will be picked up at the agreed time from your hotel as we start our expedition. In a comfortable vehicle with your English Speaking guide we drive to the provincial capitol of My Tho. Known as the gateway to the Mekong Delta, the rice bowl of Vietnam gives you an unfiltered view of the country’s sprawling ecosystem.

Upon reaching our destination you will continue your tour by boat through My Tho and Ben Tre to enjoy the natural scenery. During the trip you can expect to see wildlife, and how the local people have flourished. Boathouses in particular showcase a lifestyle where the locals life and work on the river in the fishing industry.

We will also see a number of orchards during the trip such as dragon fruit, rambutane, pomelo, and other depending on the season. During this part of the tour you can try and buy any number of exotic fruits to enjoy along the way during the day, before we go to the coconut factory where a number of amazing sweets are made, and of course you can indulge as well.

Then in small local sampan boats we go exploring the many small river channels between the mangrove trees. An unusual and fun experience, you will want to grab pictures during this part of the journey.

Then we stop for lunch and partake in a local assortment of food prepared in traditional Mekong style. Then after visiting the most beautiful pagodas in the region, we head back to Saigon and return you safely back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
