Embark on this Southern Vietnam tour that takes your through the rural highlights of the Mekong Delta before ending the tour on your way to Phu Quoc.
Your journey starts with pick up from your hotel in the morning by your driver and English speaking guide. We then drive to My Tho, aptly named “The gateway to the Mekong Delta” the rice bowl of Vietnam. Upon arriving in My Tho we continue on a boat which we take to get first impressions on the natural scenery of the region. On the trip we see the local lifestyle on the river including fishing operations, houseboats, and other natural aspects as we dive into the rural life. Then onto one of the many orchards that grow dragon fruit, rambutane, pomelo, and other fruits based on the season.
From there we go on a short coconut sweets factory tour to indulge a little before going by sampan boat to explore the river channels and mangrove trees. We have lunch after that and enjoy a local delicacy of elephant ear fish or stewed coconut shrimp. Finally we visit one of the most beautiful pagodas in the region before driving to Chau Doc for the night and checking into your hotel.
We start the day at Nui Sam Mountain where we take in the amazing views and Ba Chau Su & Tan An pagodas. After soaking up the breathtaking views we head over for lunch, and Tra Su mangrove forrest where we will spot many species of birds. Then we have another boat trip to the floating villages and famous Pangius fish farms. Watch as the locals handle the many tasks involved in their daily work and immerse yourself in the daily life of the rural population. Then we head back to Chau Doc and and enjoy the evening and hopefully the sunset.
The day starts early as we drive to Ha Tien, then catch the ferry to Phu Quoc Island as the tour ends and your adventure continues on.
